Valorant is a multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Riot games, inc and published in 2020. The game revolves around a 5v5 closed map where one team is selected as the defenders and each side plays 12 rounds per side, after which teams flip sides as one takes the defenders side, and the other attackers, the first team to reach 13 wins is then proclaimed the victors.
Each team has their own task, the defenders are tasked with defending a control point on the map such as A, B or C while the attackers try to reach said control point and plant a bomb, that after 45s if not defused by the defenders blows and wins the round for attackers, defenders can win the round either by defusing the bomb, killing the enemy team or having time run out. Attackers can win either by killing the enemy team or planting and having said bomb blow up.
The game consists of several roles such as “Duelist” “Initiator” “Sentinel” and “Controller” the playable characters in Valorant fall into one of these categories and provide their own utility depending on their class to the team.
